Project overview
The owners of this Suwannee River home had a wide view of the water and a seating plan that turned its back on it. We reoriented the room toward the windows, introduced a deep leather sofa that welcomes wet dogs and sandy feet, and built a gallery wall around the family's own river photography.
A restrained palette of oak, cream and soft green keeps attention on the view, while layered lighting makes the room just as inviting after sunset. Two existing armchairs were reupholstered rather than replaced, keeping the budget focused where it shows most.
